Justin Bieber sued by mum who suffered loss of hearing at gig

He’s known for his scream-inducing performances, but now Justin Bieber’s in deep water over his vocal fans.

The Girlfriend singer is being sued for almost $10 MILLION after a mum who took her daughter to one of Justin’s shows claimed her hearing has been permanently damaged by shrieking fans, it’s been reported.

Stacey Wilson Betts says she was hit by a “sound blast” at one of Justin’s shows in Portland, Oregon two years ago.

Stacey says the problems started when the teen heartthrob climbed into a heart-shaped platform, which was hanging over the audience.

Justin ‘entices the crowd into a frenzy’

Justin was baiting the crowds, encouraging them to scream louder, Stacey claims.

She says: “Mr Bieber created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena.

“Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion, whereas I was struck with a sound blast.”

She explained that the heart-shaped gondola “acted as a sound conductor creating a sound blast that permanently damaged both of my ears.”

As a result, she claims she now suffers from tinnitus, which makes it difficult for her to sleep.

Stacey also says she is having to cope with depression and increased levels of anxiety, so she wants $9.23 million (£5.97million) from him to say sorry.

Justin, his record label, the concert promoter and the arena are now being asked to settle the damages after the woman’s “quality of life has been permanently reduced.”
