Genetically blessed couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have only been dating since last October, so we’re relieved to hear that they haven’t secretly married – despite a police report referring to Blake as Ryan’s wife.
Let us explain…
Green Lantern star Ryan had filed a complaint with the New York police department about a photographer who was following him. A police officer then wrote report and assumed that Blake was Ryan’s wife, reveals TMZ.com,
“Upon arrival, I spoke to Ryan Reynolds and his wife. They explained that this (blank) coloured vehicle was observed outside their residence, and proceeded to follow their vehicle in an erratic manner.
“They believed that this individual was a photographer attempting to obtain pictures of them. Mr. Reynolds and his wife were advised to contact police should any persons enter their property,” the report states.
Clearly this policeman isn’t up on the latest celebrity gossip (in fairness he probably has better things to do), and maybe he can’t tell one hot blonde actress from another and thought that Blake was Ryan’s now ex-wife Scarlett Johansson.
Anyway… a spokesperson has confirmed that there’s been no wedding, and it’s all just a paperwork-based misunderstanding.
The story of Blake and Ryan
Blake and Ryan met on the set of the movie Green Lantern, with the Gossip Girl star playing Ryan’s love interest in the film. Life began to imitate art when the couple started dating back in October last year.
Before that, Blake has been linked to Hollywood ladies’ man Leonardo Di Caprio, and Ryan had of course been married to Scarlett.
Blake and Ryan soon moved into the $2million Bedford Hills, New York home that they now share.
