The last person you’d be expecting to forgive singer Chris Brown for abusing ex-girlfriend Rihanna is her dad. But it looks like he has.
The Where Have You Been singer’s dad Ronald Fenty believes Chris has changed since he was charged with assault and making criminal threats towards his then-girlfriend Rihanna on 5 March 2009.
“Chris has matured a lot. I think everybody has to put the past behind them. And they seem to have done that. Being a couple is all up to her,” Ronald told Grazia magazine.
He added that, like any dad, he just hopes everything works out for the best for his daughter.
“Every decision is her decision. I just wish her the best. I hope things will work out.”
But it’s not just Ronald who’s rooting for the pair to get back together; he also claims the fans are hoping for a reconciliation.
“Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. Her fans are hoping it will happen. They see them as a perfect couple.”

Chris also tweeted about the death of Rihanna's grandmother, Clara ‘Dolly’ Braithwaite who passed away last week.
He wrote: “Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP.”
