Robbie Williams and wife Ayda to return to the UK for birth of daughter

Despite spending the last six years living in Los Angeles, Take That star Robbie Williams has decided to head back to the UK for the upcoming arrival of his baby daughter.

Robbie and his American wife Ayda are expecting their first child in August.

Robbie has told friends he wants his daughter to be born in the UK and have a British passport. The couple, who married in 2010, are house-hunting for a place in Central London, and Ayda has been booked into a top private hospital for the birth.

“Robbie loves LA and they won’t be selling their house there but the plan is to come back to the UK for the foreseeable future and certainly until the end of the year,” says a friend.

“Robbie is also going to be busy with work as he’s releasing a new album later this year.”

Another friend says: “Ayda is ecstatic and so is Robbie. All is going well with the pregnancy.

“It took them a long time to decide where to have the baby. Their main residence will be LA, but to Robbie, England is home and that’s why he wants his child born here.”

Take That baby boom

It promises to be a big summer for Take That babies this year, with Gary Barlow’s wife Dawn and Mark Owen’s wife Emma also due to give birth around the same time.

Ayda is said to be looking forward to spending time with Dawn and Emma once the babies are born.

“Ayda is incredibly calm and mellow. Both she and Robbie can’t wait to meet their daughter,” adds the friend.

They’re not the only ones - we're so excited about Robbie Jnr's big arrival!
