Russell Brand and Katy Perry’s divorce was made final earlier this month, but Russell has admitted that he’ll always love the pop singer.
Talking about her yesterday, he said, “I feel a responsibility to her — she’s living in all of this (Hollywood) and I don’t want her to read things that make her think I have anything other than love for her. Because I don’t want her to be hurt.”
Despite the 37-year-old having found a new flame, Bradley Cooper’s ex, Isabella Brewster, it seems he wants things to work out for the better with the Firework singer.
“It’s really hard to be married to someone. So really the fact is, this is a person I love and I don’t want to hurt her.”
Pass the hankies Russell. This sudden surge of affection aimed at the gorgeous Katy is a much different to his comment last week, when he jokily said, “I've had enough arse-ache from people called Katy in the last year". Harsh.
