To say Christian Bale is serious is like saying the sky is blue but The Dark Knight Rises actor has a squidgy side and it comes out around his wife.
Even before that footage of Christian going absolutely mental on the set of Terminator 4 Salvation, the 38-year-old played mostly intense characters, but apparently the Batman star completely lightens up around his wife, ex-model Sibi Blazic.
A source tells Us Weekly, Sibi, 42 is “his comfort and his rock," and that the actor loves nothing more than unwinding with her.
Christian and Sibi have been married for 12 years and have a 7-year-old daughter, Emmeline. The source added: “He almost always plans a family trip."
Christian Bale is famous for going to extra mile to really get into a role. He lost masses of weight for The Machinist, and also for his role as Mark Wahlberg’s drug-addicted brother in The Fighter.
The British actor says he’s planning to stay away from ‘big blockbusters’. He told The Telegraph: “I want to make some small movies now… I’m looking at very different kinds of movies."
Christian has said in the past he is a family man and that it’s family he cherishes the most. He told GQ Australia’s June/July issue: “I get no greater joy than when I'm looking at my daughter and her friends when they're laughing their asses off. Movies are great but when I look back, it's the time with my family I'm going to remember."
