Alexa Chung is to make her acting debut alongside Leighton Meester, Blake Lively and the rest of the Upper East Side gang in the final series of the hit show Gossip Girl.
The 28 year old was spotted on location in Manhattan a couple of days ago with the rest of the cast, including leading lady Leighton who plays Blair Waldolf. Tottering around a very wet city, she was spotted during takes wearing a colourful blue dress teamed with black kitten heels.

According to reports, Alexa will be playing herself in the show and the appearance will be a cameo. It’ll be shown over here this autumn on E4. Actress Yin Chung will return to the show as Nelly Yuki and it girl Serena Van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, will be back and up to her usual tricks.
The hit series first came to our screens in 2007 and following an announcement in May, the series currently being filmed will be its last.

Former T4 presenter Alexa won’t be the first Brit to star in the cult teen show. Liz Hurley made a cameo in the show last year as millionaire Diana Payne. The 47-year-old played a cougar who owned the house where the group attended a party. She went on to seduce Nate, played by Chase Crawford. Lucky Liz!
Where’s Alexa been?
Since moving across the pond to New York in 2009, Alexa has been a busy Brit indeed. Working on television shows such as Thrift America, 24 Hour Catwalk and co-hosting the 2011 Golden Globe Arrivals Special. Well, she certainly won’t have any trouble learning her lines.
