It’s the war of the celebrity mums. Last week the mum of Tre Holloway (Cheryl Cole’s new fella) wasn’t sure she’d be right for him and now Cheryl Cole’s mum is worried that Tre might break Cheryl’s heart.

Joan Callaghan met Tre last month and told a friend she was ‘wary’ about his relationship with her daughter. Joan is said to also be miffed because Cheryl missed a family gathering because she was with Tre. Naughty.

A friend told The Sun: “It’s early days and she isn’t 100 per cent sure of Tre yet. He looks good on Cheryl’s arm but Joan fears he will not be there for her long term.”

“Any man dating Cheryl should be aware they have to pass the vigorous test and standards set by Joan. She sees herself as more of a protecting force than ever. As it stands Tre has a long way to go before he is accepted.”

We think both showbiz mums should just meet up for a cup of tea and jam buns to sort it out, or failing that have a dance off.

Evan Rachel Wood ‘jokes’ about Miley Cyrus being gay, twitter goes mad

 

Evan Rachel Wood landed herself in some hot water after joking that Miley Cyrus may be gay because of her new haircut. The tweet has now been deleted but it said.

“I called it! Miley Cyrus is leaning toward gay,”

This didn’t go down with Miley fans so last night Evan Rachel tweeted, “I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about Miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation.”

She went on to clear things up further saying, “So i ‘joked’ when she cut her hair that it supported my case. But, i am not so close minded or into stereotypes or labelling. It was a joke.”

“could care less what gender she was attracted to But don’t hate me for supporting her in whatever She chooses. It’s all fine by me.”

Luckily Miley didn’t seem that bothered by it all, she tweeted that Evan Rachel’s explanation was “well said” and then posted “let’s be friends”
