Russell Brand and Geri Halliwell are getting pretty darn cosy, according to our inside source, who said: “Russell is mad for her. They text and talk to each other loads.”
Now we think about it, these guys are actually a match made in heaven – Craziest. Couple. Ever.
It all started when Ginger and Rusty Rockets went on a date to Hampstead Heath last week. An insider told us the couple spent the whole time jabbering away to each other like old pals.
Onlookers also took to Twitter to spread the news of the date.
One tweet said: “#RussellBrand and #GeriHalliwell currently out on a date?”
And another wrote: “Just jogged past a very tall Russell Brand and a very short Geri Halliwell. Love the heath."

This surprise hook up comes just days after the pair joined forces for the Olympics Closing Ceremony, where Russell, 37, appeared as Willy Wonka and Geri revived Girl Power with that amazing Spice Girls reunion performance.
Comedian Russell gushed about Geri and the rest of the ladies after their performance, saying: “I’ve got Spice Girls mania all over again now. I’m obsessed with them. It’s like 1996 all over again. I’ve got a massive crush on Geri Halliwell too… The girls were absolutely lovely. I love Geri.”
Alright, we get it – Geri’s your favourite.
And last week, Geri, 40, did nothing to stop the rumour mill turning, when she refused to confirm if she had a new man.
“I’m not going to go into details,” she teased.
