There are a lot of great, funny people out in the Twittersphere. But every now and then – like we’ve seen with Tom Daley last week – you get a few bad eggs (sometimes their avatars are eggs. They’re literally bad eggs) who come along and spoil the fun.
Take the person who thought it’d be a fun idea to send cute-as-a-button actress Ellen Page death threats on the website. The Inception actress received nasty messages back in June.
They’ve since been deleted, but as whoever wrote them was threatening to “murder” Ellen, the LA police department have got involved. They’ve presented Twitter bosses with a search warrant, so they can find the culprit who wrote in one message: “I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead”
The document, which has been uncovered by TMZ, says that another message read: “Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year… Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.”

The tweeter seems to have a problem with Ellen’s friendship with Alexander Skarsgard, who she stars with in upcoming film The East. Apart from on official filming duties, they’ve been spotted once in public together, going to see the LA Kings at an ice hockey game. The pair have not confirmed they’re a couple. Most probably because they’re not a couple.
Sounds like someone’s got the wrong end of the stick…let’s hope the police find them before any more of this nonsense goes down.
