Katy Perry's Part Of Me was a 3D documentary, following her life during a world tour, and as a result featured lots of tearful moments where she spoke about how her marriage to Russell Brand was becoming difficult. That was as edgy as it got.
Now, not one to be out-done when it comes to outrageousness, her ex-husband Russell Brand has stepped it up with his upcoming documentary about heroin. In the upcoming BBC3 show Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery, viewers will see footage of Russell in his twenties, smoking heroin and looking totally out of it.
According to The Sun, Russell is seen watching the clip, and friend Martino Sclavi asks him about it. "A proper little junkie" he responds, adding: "this is when you know it's a disease."
"It doesn't matter that I was sat in that flat in Hackney and now I'm in the Savoy. I'm jealous of me then."
He went on: "It doesn't make a difference to me. The money, the fame, the power, the sex, the women - none of it. I'd rather be a drug addict."
He also spoke about how heroin ruined a whopping chunk of his life: "The consequences of my actions affected so many people. Heroin is a greedy drug, it'll take everything. First it'll take you money. Then it'll take your friends, your family, your car, your house."
"Then it's going to take bits of your body. In the end I used to be scoring with people that had eyes missing, limbs missing."
He continued, very sinisterly: "You'll take it until it takes your life. It'll take everything until the last thing and you'll gladly give it that rather than give up the drugs."
Woaaah. Sounds gross! Russell spent 12 weeks in rehab in 2002 and has since been clean. Thank heavens for that!
