Mel B has gone down a storm with The X Factor bosses who are reported to want her back as a permanent judge next year.
The former Spice Girl impressed the judges with her honesty and witty put downs and it’s now rumoured that they have decided that she would be perfect for the job with apparently, “a lot of money on the table for her next year.”
Why the wait
According to reports, Mel was too busy filming in Australia so she lost her place to Nicole Scherzinger. Bosses for the down under version of the X Factor last year chose the Leeds born star to sit on their panel – but rumours are circulating now that the UK bosses now want her back.
“Mel was our first choice. She was so quick and honest. You can’t let everyone down gently or the praise is meaningless.”

But, it’s not been all praise for the singer - a lot of the acts complained that her comments were far too harsh – even Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow had words with the star, begging her to be nicer.
18 year old Curtis Golden was called ‘irritating’ by Mel, while she then told an 82 year old man, “I wanted to fall asleep through that, I'm sorry I have to be honest. It's a no.”
Ouch.
But there are some celebs who loved the 37-year-old's judging style. We spoke exclusively to Ronan Keating yesterday at the premiere of Keith Lemon's film and the singer said that she's like a breath of fresh air.
“I know Mel pretty well, she’s never shocked me. She’s just honest and we love that about Mel and that’s why she should be on the panel. You need those sort of comments."
