Apparently four tattoos aren't enough for One Direction's Zayn Malik - he's added yet another and fans are speculating it could be a tribute to his girlfriend Perrie Edwards.
The singer has added a ZAP to his forearm, so we've kindly mocked you up a picture - don't say we never give you anything.
We were desperate to find out if the tattoo was a declaration of love so decided to contact the lady who had inked him this Saturday – Rose Whittaker at London’s Haunted Tattoos – to ask if ZAP really did stand for 'Zayn and Perrie'.
Obviously we love Zerrie/Payn, but we were pretty relieved when she revealed the tattoo has nothing to do with the fledgling relationship between the One Direction and Little Mix singers.
“He said it was an in joke,” said Rose. “But it’s got nothing to do with his girlfriend.”
The ‘in joke’ probably has more to do with his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson, with whom he is captain of the society of club zappers.
Yeah, we're not really sure either...
In April the boys explained ZAP to an Australian radio station, saying: “Basically it stands for a society of club zappers. Me and Louis are captain Zappers and we have converted the rest of the boys. It’s like a secret society. If people want to join, you’ll be finding out some news soon.”
We shall wait with baited breath.
In a situation that must only arise for Zayn about one a year, his tattooist revealed she had no idea who he was.
“I’m not sure who he came in with, I had no idea who he was,” she admitted. “I literally had no idea.
“He was absolutely lovely though – he sat very well, didn’t flinch, didn’t whine. Perfect customer actually because he tipped me too. Just a really, really thoroughly nice chap.”
Good lad, Zayn.
Seeing as it’s Zayn’s fifth tattoo, we’re not surprised he’s getting used to them by now. Zayn also has a mic tattooed on his forearm, his grandfather’s name on the side of his chest, a symbol meaning lucky on his hip and a yin and yang symbol on his left wrist.
So there’s still a little space over his heart for a heatworld symbol?
