You know how really cute things make you feel just a bit sick? Well, here’s the latest thing to do that. No, not a kitten falling asleep or anything, but Kelly Clarkson gushing about her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock.
In one of the gushiest interviews we’ve ever read, she spoke about how much she adores her new man, who she started dating in late 2011.
The Stronger singer told People: “One of my favourite things is we’re both in the business. He gets my job and he gets how busy it can get, and he gets the sacrifices that we both have to make with our jobs.”
Brandon is her manager’s son, so he really will know the ins and outs of Kelly’s working life.
Apparently, just like normal, loved up couples who make us a little bit sick they’re so sweet together, they have a German Shepherd puppy called Bear and like going out to the movies together. That’s as risqué as it’ll get, though.
The singer said: “We’re very super real – like, what you see is what you get. So I don’t think we’re cool enough to have something super surprising [about us].”
Which is a shame, because we’d always thought of Kelly as a kind of blood-in-vial and sex-with-knifeplay kinda gal. No, not really. Not at all.
She added that age has made her more prepared for this relationship: “I think as you get old though, too, you just get less worried about the little stuff that doesn’t matter and you focus more on the bigger picture. “
“And, you know, I’m also in love.”
