Last week, we told you all about how Lindsay Lohan was at the centre of a theft scandal. She had turned up to a party with two people who were later accused by the host of stealing some of his watches.
Now, the story’s taken a turn for the worse, as Lindsay has now been named as a formal suspect in the investigation. According to TMZ’s source, Lindsay and assistant Gavin Doyle are suspects in the theft, but in a strange twist, Sam Magid, the host of the party, has taken back his story and now says that nothing was stolen.
The combined worth of the sunglasses and watches is $100,000, so it’s not clear why Sam’s not following up with his initial claims, but the LAPD still want to talk to Lindsay and Gavin as they have independent witnesses who can pinpoint the pair as the thieves.
Although it was entirely legit for her to turn down talking to the police last week, as she wasn’t a suspect, Lindsay now has to answer any questions they might have for her. We’re guessing they aren’t going to be about which hair colour she’s going to go for next…
This is pretty awful news for Lindsay, as she’s on probation for the theft case where she was found guilty of stealing a necklace from a jewelry shop.
If she’s found guilty of this theft, she will have violated probation and be at a very high risk of returning to jail again.
