Today, we've updated you twice on the ongoing saga of a jewellery theft that Lindsay Lohan has been linked to. And now, for a third time, we've got some more positive news.
It has been confirmed that Lindsay will NOT face prosecution.
It had been alleged that Lindsay, along with two men - one being hip hop manager Suge Knight's son Andrew, and the other being her assistant Gavin Doyle - went to her friend Sam Magid's house for an all-night party.
When they left the party, Sam discovered that $100,000 worth of sunglasses, watches and personalised Tiffany silverware had been stolen.
However, some fishy stuff went on today - Sam retracted his statement, and gave the police the objects that had been stolen. But a source also told TMZ that Sam had spoken to the two men who had been at the party with Lindsay and that they'd said that Lindsay had wrapped up the stolen items in a t-shirt of hers, then put them into a bag for the men to carry outside.

All of this could very well be poppycock, though, as the Los Angeles District Attorney has thrown the case out. Apparently there is not enough evidence to take this through to court, and, according to TMZ's source: "potential eyewitnesses have refused to become involved."
The court authorities observed that Sam and Lindsay have a "longstanding relationship" which we're guessing works in her favour.
Lindsay tweeted a link to the story, clearly pleased that she won't be getting more flack this time. The same can be said for Gavin, who will not face prosecution.
Oh, Lindsay...
