Max George fulfilled a lifelong dream today when he went swimming with sharks.

The 23-year-old couldn’t believe his luck when he was given the opportunity to swim with the rather scary fellas in a controlled environment in Sydney.
Uploading a series of Twitter photos of him in his scuba gear swimming with the sharks, Max said: “Living the dream #sharks!... Best thing I've ever done... My love for sharks had just doubled!!”

Max, who’s currently in Australia on a promotional tour with the rest of The Wanted boys, eventually managed to convince the guys to join him for the Shark Dive Xtreme at the Manly Sea Life Sanctuary in Sydney. Well, all of them except Nathan Sykes.

Nathan tweeted: “To people saying that we should join max, I think you are slightly confused about our sanity ...”
Tom Parker was also reluctant about the swim.
He said: “Someone just tweeted saying "go on dive with sharks with Max". Erm, 2 things wrong with that. 1) I can't swim all that great really...
“And secondly, but must importantly..there is SHARKS inside. You know, them 4 metre long creatures that can tear your head off!! #I'llpass.
“You never know what a sharks thinking, and that my friend, is a worrying thought!”

However, he eventually came around to the idea of it, and was chuffed he’d done it.
“I ended up doing it. Unbelievable experience!”
Jay McGuinness joked that he’d survived the ordeal because of his dietary choices:
“Didn’t bite me cause he could tell I was a vegetarian. #SharkWhisperer”
Siva Kaneswaran also enjoyed the thrilling swim: “Amazing experience with the sharks.
He added: "Swimming with sharks along with @MaxTheWanted and @Stage_Tramp .. No biggy!"
Judging by the look of those sharks, we’d say it was a bit of a biggy actually…
