Robbie Williams teases new single If you’ve picked up this week’s Heat, you’ll see shots of a Pink-besuited Robbie Williams larking around London’s east end on the set of his new music video.
The video, which will also feature him as a knight in silver armour atop a shining white horse (not one for subtleties, is he, our Rob?) was a sure sign that he’s got a new single coming out. Unless he was just filming another viral of LMFAO’s Sexy And I Know It. But somehow we doubt that.
Anyway, he has further hinted at the release date (either to stream or to buy) of his upcoming single. In a strange turn of actual subtlety, the bit of artwork that he’s put on his website is very arty, showing just a slice of his head. Not as gory as it sounds, promise.
There’s also a “03.09.12” at the bottom of the artwork, which we’re guessing is the release date. Although the official name of the new single is yet to be confirmed, rumours abound that it will be called Vertigo, and that the album will be given the same name.

The singer, who no longer seems to be working with old bandmates Take That, revealed last month that his ninth studio album is almost done, and he is also expecting his first child with gorgeous wife Ayda Field very soon.
Phew! Busy enough, and on top of that, he's been getting down to the gym a load. Recently, he wrote on his blog: "Just been in the gym trying to offset the onset of middle age,"
"Fetching things for Ayda, and trying to figure out which tracks stay on the album and which tracks should be shelved."
Are you looking forward to new Robbie material?
