The performances have continued to wow us tonight with George Michael’s rendition of Freedom. We were off the sofa, clapping along with George and his dancers, until a montage of David Bowie’s greatest hits began blasting from our telly. Soon enough billboards were wheeled out showcasing some of Great Britain’s Top Models, we even saw Kate Moss strut her stuff.
Ed Sheeran provided an acoustic effort on true form, but we were dancing again when a very posh looking car drove former The Voice judge Jessie J around the stage while she sang Pricetag. Jessie was joined by Tinie Tempah and even helped the rapper out during his performance.

One face we were surprised to see was that of comedian Russell Brand, who even plucked up the courage to sing I Am The Walrus. Russell was driven in on top of a very psychedelic looking vehicle, before he began prancing about with an array of colourful dancers. The surreal show soon turned into an energetic rave as Fatboy Slim performed a set from a giant octopus.

Liam Gallagher performed Oasis's number 1 hit Wonderwall with his band Beady Eye shortly after another rowdy group The Kaiser Chiefs bounced about on stage. We were rather confused when a cannon was dragged on stage, after we saw a body shoot out of the cannon we were then concerned that the Queen herself may be trying to better her opening ceremony debut. Thankfully, the lone stuntman was none other than Eric Idle, singing Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life and being covered in paint by Bhangra dancers.

Queen guitarist Brian May and Jessie J provided one of the most epic performances of the night, and there was even a hologram of Freddie Mercury encouraging the crowd to join in. It must be hard enough work to keep such a huge crowd going after 3 and a half hours but the rocking duo managed it with their rendition of We Will Rock You.
