The Olympics are nearly at an end - sob! But before the Paralympics kick off (we're totes excited about that, too) we’ve got the closing ceremony to look forward to – yay!
What can we expect from this three-hour long extravaganza? Music, music and more music is what!
We’ve pieced together all the gossip and speculation to give you a rundown of what to expect, so look away now if you don’t want any SPOILERS!

The Music
We’ve already seen the Spice Girls hard at work at the rehearsal ground at the Ford motor plant in Dagenham. The girls will wear updated version of their Posh, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger outfits while riding on in top of London black cabs that light up. (Ooh, we love a good light show). But what else can we expect?
Well, according to closing ceremony director Kim Gavin (who’s the genius behind Take That’s tours – so you know he’s good), the show’s going to be,
“An elegant mash-up of British music, a rich tapestry of British culture and life ... something people remember for years to come.”

In fact Kim Gavin has said the show will be very different from the opening ceremony,
“My approach was to say, ‘let's not over think it'. 'Let's have a party,” he told the Sunday Telegraph. “I don't want anyone to say, ‘I don't understand this.’ We have been so absorbed over the last two weeks, we want something fresh.”
In fact it sounds like the show will be an ode to London, with iconic London landmarks such as the London Eye and Tower Bridge making the backdrop. While Kinks frontman Ray Davies will sing Waterloo Sunset while hundreds of volunteer dancers recreate the flow of the river Thames.
Among the other acts thought to be performing are Madness, Elbow, Muse, the London Symphony Orchestra, Pet Shop Boys, Queen, Adele, Elton John, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Kate Bush and Take That.
