The London Olympic Games have been the talk of Great Britain for some time. However, there was one performance that was the most anticipated, that we were all itching to see, and that won the gold in our nostalgic hearts, Ladies and gents…The Spice Girls.
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t the most important performance of the London games, but we were still pretty excited. As five taxis drove to take centre stage during tonight’s big finale show, we were literally pawing at the TV screen as Geri, Mel B, Mel C, Emma and Victoria stepped out in their notorious outfits (although Geri wasn’t sporting a PVC union jack dress,*sigh*) to perform Wannabe and Spice Up your life, and make all of our childish dreams come true. At one point, we think we even saw Posh crack a smile.
Despite rumours of feuds and disagreements during planning for their comeback performance, the girls looked more than happy to be back together up on stage as they clambered up onto their taxis and held tight to those grab rails.
Our favourite part of the performance had to be the very short clip of a dancing David Cameron and a VERY enthusiastic Boris Johnson, shaking his bum to Spice Up Your Life. What did you heatworld citizens think of the performance?
