You might have thought Usher had it all the moment he duetted with his prodigy signing Justin Bieber. But there is one collaboration that the R&B crooner will never be able to make, as he's revealed that he was planning to duet with Amy Winehouse before her tragic death.
He said that the pair met in a "bizarre" spot - Selfridges department store in London, where they chatted about what type of track they would do and how they would go about doing it.
The Climax singer said: "I've not really collaborated with any British women but the one person I wanted to is not here any more…Amy Winehouse."
"Amy was just timeless and classic. She and I met at Selfridges, believe it or not. It was very bizarre"
Speaking to The Metro, he added: "We exchanged information, she invited me to a show and we were just in the process of talking about a collaboration but unfortunately, we didn't get to do it."

He also spoke of how sad her passing made him: "Her time came too soon. I think she is, and was, an incredible talent and her voice speaks for what I am saying. I don't think there will ever be another voice like that."
Oh Usher…how beautifully said. We would have loved to hear that collaboration - and all the other songs Amy was going to make.
On a lighter note, Usher defended Prince Harry's nude Las Vegas antics, saying "I don't know what went on, but I can definitely speak from the position of having every step analysed."
"What I will say is that Harry is young and he should still be able to go out and have fun."
Hear, hear!
