His own mum claimed he “only has time for one-night stands” but there’s one lady US swimmer Ryan Lochte would settle down for – Blake Lively.
We thought poor old Ryan, 28, must have been mortified last week when his mum revealed to the world he only has time for one night stands because he was so preoccupied getting ready for London 2012.
But the American - who heatworld readers voted their hottest male Olympian - seems to have no problems chatting about his love life and, in particular, his crush on Gossip girl actress Blake, 24.
Asked who he’d take to a desert island, double gold medal winner Lochte said: “Right now, Blake Lively. Yeah, she’s gorgeous.”
We’re not sure Blake’s boyfriend Ryan Reynolds has much to worry about. Asked what his chat-up line would be, he said: “Hi. You want to go to an island with me?”
Hmm. Rubbish chat-up line, versus killer abs...
But Ryan stressed Blake didn’t have to worry about his mum’s take on his love life.
“She meant that I go out on dates, not the one-night stands in a bad way that everyone else thinks,” he said. “I’m young, but that’s not me.
"I like being in a relationship and when I’m in a relationship I want to give them my entire heart and lately I have not been able to do that because swimming has just taken such a big role in my life.”
