Yes, the lovely Dermot and his long-term producer girlfriend Dee are getting married, which means Dermy will officially be off the market. Sob! heatworld’s always secretly held out hope that we might get together with dreamy Dermot one day.
Dee has confirmed that the wedding will be a big event, “It’s going to be the full works, in a church because Dermot’s Irish Catholic,” she has told The Mirror.
Plenty of Dermot’s X Factor friends (which we're now saying in our heads in an Inbetweeners style: X Factor Fwends!) will be in attendance, including the One Direction boys. Keep Harry away from the bridesmaids would be our advice.
The soon-to-be newly weds are planning a mini-moon before taking a longer holiday after The X Factor has finished.
Jitters
Dermot – who won GQ’s Best Dressed Man award earlier this week – revealed earlier in the year that he’s got no pre-wedding jitters ahead of the big day
“We've lived together for seven years and been going out for 10 years so we are settled down already,” the 39-year-old X Factor host said.
“ I love my girlfriend and the woman that will be my wife and we are really relaxed with each other.”
