After a drama-filled 16-months together, Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid’s relationship is over.
Chantelle announced that she had ended things with Alex with a short statement released on Twitter last Friday evening. She simply wrote, “I have had no option but to end my relationship with Alex.”
Chantelle’s decision to end her engagement to Alex came after he was arrested last week for trying to break into the Essex home he shares with Chantelle and their daughter Dolly.
Now, friends of 29-year-old Chantelle tell heat magazine exclusively that she has fallen out of love with Alex,
“Chantelle told us she didn’t love him any more and that it was over – she only tried to make it work as long as she did for Dolly,” heat’s insider reveals.
While Chantelle is taking care of two-month old Dolly, Alex is said to be hurt and angry over the events of the last week,
“Alex would never lay a finger on Chantelle. He’s devastated at the way he’s been portrayed,” heat’s source divulges.
“He texted Chantelle to say he was coming to the house on Tuesday night and she’d locked him out. He feels like he’s been betrayed. He keeps saying he wants to wake up and find out this was all a bad dream. He’s devoted to both.”
