It turns out that Geri and Russell have fancied each other for years, and even snogged after they first met five years ago!
“It all started when Geri phoned into Russell’s radio show (you know, the one he used to present on Radio 2). They met soon after and there was an instant attraction and chemistry. They shared a passionate kiss many years ago, not long after they first met,” heat’s source reveals.
“Since they met they’ve kept in touch. They’ve got a lot in common: they both do transcendental meditation and are very spiritual begins,” heat’s insider explains.
Fast-forward a few years, and since meeting up again at the Olympic closing ceremony last month, Geri and Russell have enjoyed several dates – including taking Geri’s daughter Bluebell on a trip to Hampton Court Palace.
“They’re really into each other and it’s happened very fast. It’s all quite new and they are seeing where things are going, but they are having so much fun with each other, it’s really exciting. The chemistry is amazing. It’s been a very long time coming,” heat’s source adds.
