John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John reunite for Christmas album!
John and Olivia now. Seriously. Honestly...

He might have had a bit of a difficult year, following some very risque allegations about his private life, but John Travolta is going to put a cheery spin to the end of the year by reuniting with ex co-star Olivia Newton-John to release a Christmas album!

Yep, just like Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child and, er, Mr Blobby, the Saturday Night Fever actor has recorded the album with Olivia, who he co-starred with on 1978 hit film, Grease.

The album is to be called This Christmas, and has an original duet on it written by John Farrar, the man who wrote classic guilty pleasure disco/karaoke track You're The One That I Want.

Guest spots will come in the form of Barbra Streisand, Kenny G, Christmas-obsessive fit-as-a-fiddle septuagenarian Cliff Richard, Amy Winehouse collaborator Tony Bennett, James Taylor and some person called Chick Corea.

John and Olivia back in the day. Phwoaar!

The bright idea to make the album came from John, "after receiving a Christmastime text from his old friend Olivia noting that their 1978 smash, You’re the One That I Want, had just become the best-selling duet in pop music history."

We're not entirely sure how to respond to this news, apart from we kind of want to hear the entire album right now. It's for charity, too…so it's allowed to be as cheesy as it likes…right?
