He's previously told us that he no longer wants to be a tween star, so it comes as little surprise to us that he's said he wants to be taken seriously as a proper musician now that he's an adult.
He said: ''I feel like I just don't want to be another teen heartthrob. I just think that just annoys me. To think that's what people will - will think of me - or, like, I just want to prove people wrong."
He added: ''My new album Believe has really showcased what I'm capable of - especially becoming an 18 year old, and becoming an adult. And hearing older people say, 'Wow, this new album's great. Like I didn't know that was Justin Bieber.'''
He added that although he's got proper, scary armies of fans, millions of Twitter followers and YouTube hits, the one thing he really craves is the thing he hasn't got - a Grammy award.

Speaking to Ryan Seacreast on his Today radio show, Justin said: "That's something that I've always - when I was little, like, 'Oh my God, like what if I won a Grammy?' That would be crazy. So that's one of the things that I'm still striving for.''
Well, he's managed to get some pretty adult muscles on his teenage bones, so maybe there's hope that he can prove his mettle in the musical arena, too. Considering he didn't win an MTV VMA award, maybe he's due an award or two by the time the Grammys roll around?
