Katy Perry’s had emotionally tough year so far. She got a divorce from Russell Brand, and her relationship with John Mayer seems a little complicated.
So we can’t really blame the Part Of Me singer for indulging in a little bit of ‘me time’ – Eat, Pray Love-stylee.
The 27-year-old singer has taken off on a trek to ‘find herself’, replacing the ‘love’ with a hike up a volcano. As you do.
Katy shared a picture with Twitter followers of her standing on a volcano, adding the caption, “I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano.”
In the last few days she’s also tweeted other mildly hippyish things such as,
“Getting some shit out my chakra's! #eloquent” and “Starting the day with a group meditate #breakfastofchampions”
In all seriousness though, it’s great to see Katy taking some time out for herself and enjoying from R&R.

Katy is currently dating singer/lothario John Mayer, and her friends are reported to be concerned about her dating someone with his reputation for being a player,
“Katy's friends worry that she's acting like a teenager rather than a world-famous pop star. Many thought she'd steer clear of John after he made it clear there wasn't a future between them, but she doesn't seem to care,” a source told heat recently.
“Katy just can't seem to let him go, despite her friends begging her to dump him.”
