Once upon a time, Bryan/Brian McFadden was in Westlife. He met Atomic Kitten starlet Kerry Katona and they fell in love. They got married, had two children.
Nothing was happily ever after, as they divorced. He went on to hook up with Australian beauty Delta Goodrem and become a judge on Australia’s Got Talent, while Kerry Katona was left to fill several encyclopaedias worth of tabloids with all her ups and downs and ins and outs.
But Kerry looks like the much, much classier one right now, after taking to Twitter to set the record straight after Brian slagged off their marriage. Speaking to Hello! on the day of his wedding to Vogue Williams, Brian said that he felt this was the real deal, because he wasn’t all there for his first marriage.
He said: “'I was 18 or 19 when I got married the first time. I was in Westlife. I had no idea what I was doing.”
And, quite rightly, Kerry’s gone on record to defend the relationship. She tweeted: “I will never let anyone take away my first marriage not even my ex husband! We may have been young but I knew full well what I was doing!!! And never in a million years would I ever dismiss it, especially bringing two amazing children into it... Love mummy xxx.”

She added, emotionally: “Just want my children to know there were made with love and no regrets #eyeswideopen.”
And then she continued, with a reference perhaps to her other ex-husband, the dodgy and controlling cabbie Mark Croft: “Just want to say a big thank you to all the people who have walked in and OUT of my life You've all made me the person I am today.... Stronger, wiser and one hell of a great mum!! Thanks xxxx.”
We’re totally team Kerry with this one, but what do you think?
