Earlier today the Chelsea footballer must have been feeling in a nostalgic mood as he began to reminisce about the good old days. And more importantly, Kylie’s tiny gold hotpants.

Quick to respond, the singer rectified the year…

But at least she was kind about it. Poor flirting skills there, Ashley.
We don’t think the romance will go much further though – Kylie has got a boyfriend, and we think Ashley may just have been thinking about those pants.

The happy tweets make a bit of a change from the usual though – as the footballer is often subjected to abuse about Cheryl.
Oh dear.
The 28-year-old made it clear that he was getting sick of the abuse.
He tweeted: “Lol, still using them old jokes, crashed car, cheryl, gun, all been done, how about u go look back in ur book and come back!”
When the footballer signed up to the social networking site in July he received a torrent of abuse.
But if he gets to have a flirt with the Australian queen of pop, it’s probably worth it.
