We’re starting to lose track of Lindsay Lohan’s criminal record. And now she’s in trouble with the law once again.

Lindsay was arrested early this morning in New York after she ‘hit’ a pedestrian with her car but failed to stop.

The Liz & Dick star was just about to park her Porsche Cayenne at the Dream hotel in Manhattan at 12.30am when she allegedly hit the knee of a man in his 30s.

One of the actress’ passengers jumped out to see if the car had been damaged before the group headed into the hotel.

When the 26-year-old emerged from the hotel at 2.30am police were waiting to arrest her.

The man who was hit didn’t fall to the ground and had no visible injuries but was still taken to hospital.

Fishy

Lindsay is allegedly describing the incident as ‘fishy’, and the troubled star believes this may have been a set up.

Although the offence is a misdemeanour it could stir trouble as it could trigger a probation violation in her 2011 jewellery theft case, as one of the conditions of probation is that she obeys all laws.

Car troubles

 

This is not the first time Lindsay’s been involved in a car crash.

In June Lindsay smashed up another Porsche after claiming she was cut up by a truck, and later blamed her car’s brakes. But tests carried out after the crash found that they were working fine.

And in May 2007, Lindsay was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and this led to her going to rehab for 45 days.

A month later she refused to take a sobriety test and was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was way over the limit. She also had a stash of cocaine in her pocket.

She then spent 23 days in prison after violating her probation agreement.
