Earlier today we reported that trouble-prone Lindsay Lohan had been rushed to hospital following breathing problems. Initially it was thought that Lindsay was suffering with a problem caused by “walking pneumonia”, which she’s claimed to have suffered with for the past couple of weeks.
However, her mum, Dina Lohan, has explained that the reason Lindsay’s in hospital is because of the combination of a high pollen count and the Mean Girls star’s previous underlying bronchial asthma.
Dina told The Daily News: “Lindsay had not been feeling well all last week following a week of high pollen counts in New York”
She added: “She has had bronchial asthma ever since she was little."
It’s true! That’s why she’s got a white tattoo on her wrist saying “Breathe” in fancy writing. It’s also nothing to do with her smoking habit…
A friend is reported as telling the Daily News that Dina was instrumental in getting Lindsay medical help: “Dina brought Lindsay to the hospital emergency room herself.”
“She’s at Dina’s home now, resting. Her mother is keeping a close eye on her. She’s safe.”

Earlier this week, her dad Michael said when she was younger she almost died because of the condition. Also speaking to the Daily News, he said: “She’s fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously.”
He added: When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma” Eeek! Luckily she is a clean-living, healthy adult…oh wait…
