Simon Cowell plans mini-makeover for The X Factor

 

As the ratings for this years X Factor continue to be down on 2011's figures, big boss Simon Cowell is reportedly flying in to give the show a revamp!

Simon will oversee the editing for this weekend's audition double bill flying in from the US to mastermind the shows’ content,

"This weekend is the first time there are two shows, one on each night, and he is determined they look great and have huge audiences.

“He is sitting through the rough edits and changing bits and pieces where he feels they need it. It’s the first time this year he will be really hands-on in the UK,” an insider tells The Mirror.

Last Saturday's show pulled in 8.6 million viewers, which was down on last year, while the series opener was down by three million viewers to 8.1 million - which still seems like a lot of people tuning in to us.

Team GB's Louis Smith for Strictly Come Dancing?

 

With Strictly Come Dancing just one weekend away, the rumours about who'll shimmy in sequins on the dance floor this year are coming thick and fast.

Team GB star Louis Smith is the latest famous face to be connected with the show.

“Louis captured the hearts of viewers during the Olympics when he burst into tears after his pommel horse performance. Now we want him to win over viewers,” s Strictly source tells The Sun.

“He will definitely be one of the show’s heart-throbs. He has yet to sign on the dotted line but it’s likely when the line-up is announced next week he will be on the list of contestants.”

This is one rumours that we really hope is true – we already know that Louis looks good in tight-fitting outfits.
 

Amanda Bynes charged with hit-and-run

 

Actress Amanda Bynes has already been in trouble over suspected drunk driving, now the former teen star has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run.

The Los Angeles City Attorney has charged the actress over two incidents earlier this year, TMZ reports. If convicted she faces up to a year in jail.

The She’s The Man star pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge in April after she was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and hitting a police car. The case was dropped because of a lack of independent witness who could identify Amanda.

She has since been accused of another hit-and-run on 4 August.
