Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag admit to staging their Hills fights

Before Kim Kardashian and her family took over our Reality TV watching lives, everyone was obsessed with watching The Hills.

And everyone’s favourite Reality TV baddies were Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag. However, Speidi – as we all used to call them – now admit their fights and fallouts weren’t genuine,

“I was hell-bent on being the bad-guy character on the show. I got caught up in it,” Spencer tells Us Weekly.

While Heidi confirms that the way the couple portrayed their relationship on camera wasn’t true to life, “Spencer and I never fight like that. Never,” she insists.

The couple are now out of the limelight, with Spencer – who is finishing a political sciences degree – admitting they’re not as well off as the once were,

“We don't have celebrity-sized money anymore, but we're fine,” he says. I'm happy to be around normal people these days!:

We have to admit, Reality TV was certainly lively with these two about – particularly with Spencer’s big mouth. Which brings us nicely on to…

Spencer Pratts most ridiculous, laugh-out-loud, deluded quotes ever!

We have to admit, we kind of miss Spencer Pratt being a regular gossip fixture. Why? Here are some of our favourite quotes:

On his successful future: “Well, I'm trying to be a billionaire before 30…I definitely want to go into politics later in my life. I plan to be governor, at least, and president if possible.”

On celebrity: “We're the most famous people in the world.”

“Heidi and Spencer are gossip machines. Every day, it's like, 'What did Heidi and Spencer do?'

On finding fame through Reality TV: “Like I said, I would do Reality TV forever. It's so much cooler to have people come up to me and be like, 'Spencer Pratt!' and know my name, than to be Orlando Bloom, who's famous for being some pirate.”

On his entrepreneurial ideas: “I'm thinking about ideas people might think are crazy, and I'm like, This world is crazy, where do you think we are? You want to tell me there's a planet, and there's a universe and gravity holding us down? It's like, okay, I'm crazy then.”

“My hustle is just too crazy. I’m trying to take over the world!”

On religion: “I'm a work in progress. I'd never been to church until I met Heidi. She got me to go — it was a big step. The walls shook a little bit as I first cruised in, but Jesus and I are making the connection.”

On his Hills co-stars Audrina and Kristin: “The producers would go, ‘Spencer, leave them alone! You can’t do that to the talent!’ Talent? These girls are actresses that are bad actresses! What are you talking about?”

On going back to Reality TV: “If [MTV] called me right now and said, ‘We want you to be on Jersey Shore and be a bully, and we’ll bring your paycheck back,’ I’d say, ‘Get me on a plane to Italy.’”
