UPDATE: A spokesperson for Gemma has denied rumours of a split, telling the Mail Online,

"They are always on & off but are currently still together."

We’ve not seen The Only Way Is Essex love birds Gemma Collins and James ‘Arg’ Argent out together for some time. The TOWIE couple have always had a fiery relationship – so it’s not that much of a surprise to hear they they’ve split up.

Gemma and Arg’s relationship began on camera, but their romance is said to have fizzled out while TOWIE is off air. However, The Sun reports that just as we saw them get together, the fallout from their breakup will be screened as the new series of The Only Way Is Essex begins next week.

An insider has revealed that 31-year-old Gemma became fed up with the constant rowing with Arg, 24.

We’ve seen plenty of drama between Gemma and Arg – starting with the classic “you ain’t never gonna get this candy,” line.

Back in August Gemma also publicly accused Arg of cheating , she posted furious messages over Twitter, including;

“RealJamesArgent you slept with someone else last night you disgust me you cheat.”

Recently, Gemma stood up Arg for their planned date day, leaving Arg to admit on Twitter that he'd been ditched,

“Where's Wally... @missgemcollins Supposed to be at mine for 1pm! Phones off and no one knows where she is! Shes gonna ruin Date Day/Night!!! Been stood up big time by @missgemcollins #DamagedEgo

It’s real

During their short-lived romance, Gemma and Arg also had to overcome accusations that their relationship was staged just for the ITV2 Reality show,

“There’s been a lot of speculation but we want to show people it’s real,” Arg told heat magazine previously.

“I think it's been obvious I've liked him for ages. He’s perfect. We've just got that chemistry. We're like magnets,” added Gemma.

One thing is for sure, there's going to be fireworks between Gemma and Arg when the new series of TOWIE airs.
