The X Factor's Jake Quickenden braves watching judge's houses performance

This has definitely pulled on our heart strings…not just a sob story.

The X Factor tonight was an emotional episode to watch overall but it must have been exceptionally difficult for the 24-year-old from Scunthorpe.

He tweeted before tonight’s show, “Heard the show is very emotional 2nite I still had my little brother with me when I was there so gonna be tough to watch! Hope you all enjoyx.

“I never wanted to go in with a sob story but when sh*t is happening, it’s hard not to let it hurt you and get to you!!

There was a seemingly endless support from friends and fans who posted on twitter. One said, “so much respect for @JakeQuickenden doing this, do it for everyone & oliver jake! #RIPOliver Xxx"

And Gary Barlow also posted his respects through the social networking site by tweeting,

@jakequickenden sending love to you and your family x

In tonight’s judge’s houses show Jake travelled to Dubai to sing Take That hit Back For Good for the boy’s mentor Nicole Scherzinger who was joined by guest judge Ne-Yo.

Now anxiety looms over the show as tomorrow night we will find out which 12 will be going through to the live acts.

Jake voiced his thoughts on his performance by posting,

“Yeh so I sing this sh*t not gonna lie proper full blown sh*te!!! Ha oh well we all do bad sometimes x"

Soon after posting,

“Am gonna go get sh*t faced now! That was emotional and thanks to all your lovely messages I really appreciate it so much xx

With people paying their respects on such a public scale, we’re happy that Jake is keeping his spirits high!

We also cannot wait for tomorrow night’s show!
