Talk about a shotgun wedding – Katie Waissel and her new husband Brad Alphonso only got engaged in July!
The X Factor star and her model fella tied the knot at the weekend, supposedly in New Orleans. The wedding was a secret, but Katie couldn’t resist posting a picture of her and her dashing new husband on Twitter.
“So excited I couldn't help it,candid friend shot #mostamazingdayofourlives yey!Hehe I'm still blushing! @Brad_Alphonso,” Katie captioned the photo.

In the photo, 26-year-old Katie, who found fame on the ITV talent show in 2010, can be seen wearing a strapless white gown, with a fishtail bottom. She wore her long, brown hair in a high bun, with a small veil.
Brad scrubbed up pretty well too – not that we’d expect any less from the handsome model, who appeared in Madonna’s Girl Gone Wild music video.
He wore a traditional black tuxedo with black bow tie – very dapper.
Katie added later in the day: “I have never smiled so much in my life! So proud, so happy, so in love, so excited!! @Brad_Alphonso.”

Kooky X Factor star Katie’s engagement to Brad came as a bit of a surprise when she announced it in July, because as recently as May she’d been linked to Capital FM’s DJ Greg Burns.

Katie, who moved to LA to work on new music, and Brad marked their engagement by having matching heart tattoos done on their wedding fingers.
She tweeted at the time: “Just woken up with a huge smile on my face can't believe that we are engaged!! @Brad_Alphonso.”

She later added: “Making great music out here, got engaged to the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with,and have all you to share it with! so happy!”
She may be as mad as a bag of drunk bats, but she still deserves a little happiness, so congratulations Katie and Brad.
