According to a People source, Tom Cruise is missing his little girl,
"Tom talks to Suri several times a day. He misses Suri very much," the source says.
The 50-year-old, who was divorced from Katie Holmes last month, has not seen his 6-year-old daughter in over a month despite their frequent telephone chats.
The last time the father and daughter enjoyed each other’s company was during a trip to Disney World in August, which included staying in the Cinderella Castle Suite and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.
With the Mission Impossible star filming All You Need Is Kill in Europe and Suri busy with school in New York there is no time for the pair to see each other as often as Tom would like.
It seems that Tom is possibly being punished because he missed his daughter’s first day of school, which was said to have made the toddler feel hurt.
Tom Cruise’s lawyer claimed, in his defense to not turning up, that, “he loves Suri and is a constant presence in her life. As in the past when he’s shooting in a foreign country, he has to rely on daily phone calls.”
According to the People source Tom and Suri are very, very close and that he is ‘up on everything’ that is going on in her life.
There seems to be a battle between the parents structure for Suri’s day-to-day life. Katie Holmes seems to try to maintain normality with park trips meanwhile Tom spoils her with visits to the zoo and rides in helicopters.
At least it is a battle for the child's love, not much harm in that.
