Tulisa Contostavlos seems like one tough cookie, and the X Factor judge has admitted that she has to ignore the daily Twitter abuse she gets or she’d feel like the most hated person in Britain.
“People just do it for the sake of it – they will sit down and write the most horrific, abusive messages and they couldn’t care less,” Tulisa tells The Sun.
“I’ve had people tell me this has happened to them but it’s something you have got to let go over your head,” she insists.
“If I was to base my opinion on Twitter I’d be like, ‘Oh my god, I must be the most hated woman in Britain’. But I go around the street and despite all the abusive messages not one person comes up to me and says anything other than nice things and ask for a picture.”
It’s a good thing Tulisa doesn’t take the hateful comments to heart, or we’d suggest she follow Gary Barlow’s idea of implementing a Twitter ban.

Recently, Gary has suggested that the X Factor contestants should be banned from looking at Twitter while they are on the show, as negative comments can have an effect on their work,
“They'd look at 100 comments and 99 would be positive but all they would think about was the one that was negative. It's not good for them,” the Take That star has said.
“If they didn't see Twitter, it would be much better for them. If I have my way, I'll take their phones off them as soon as they go into the contestants' house.
“The X Factor is hard work. They need to put all their energies into their performances, rather than worrying about who has said what about them on Twitter.”
