X Factor hope One Direction will boost ratings Saturday night
The X Factor live shows get underway tomorrow night, and five very special guests will be making an appearance.
One Direction have been lined up to liven up the show, they’ll be interviewed by Dermot O'Leary, and they'll also be on hand to give advice to the nervous contestants.
Show bosses hope that 1D will help boost the show's falling audience figures, and topple Strictly Come Dancing's in the battle for viewers.
“X Factor is where it all began for One Direction so it makes sense for them to come back and perform,” an X Factor insider tells The Mirror.
“Making an appearance on Saturday means they are the secret weapon that could tip the balance in the ratings war.”

Tulisa: “Fifty Shades Of Grey isn't that shocking”
While mummy porn novel Fifty Shades Of Grey has ruffled a few feathers, none of them belong to Tulusa Contostavlos.
The X Factor judge is a fan of the books, but doesn’t think they contain anything that shocking and she insists that most women want to be dominated in bed,
“Fifty Shades is every woman's secret fantasy but they're embarrassed to talk about it,” the singer tells Marie Claire.
"Every female secretly wants to be dominated but they don't say it. I just like that someone has said it and women are being open about it now. I've always said [what I want in bed]... I like to be dominated and said to boyfriends, 'Hey, this is what I like.'''
Er, isn’t telling you’re boyfriend what to do sort of the opposite to being dominated?

Usain Bolt’s Olympic gallery goes on sale for charity
The camera used by Usain Bolt after his win in the 200m sprint at the 2012 London Olympics is being auctioned off on eBay for charity.
Bolt grabbed the Nikon D4 camera – owned by sports photographer Jimmy Wixtröm – and began taking shots of the press and his teammates. He also carved ‘Bolt #1’ into the camera.
“My girlfriend's father passed away far too early due to cancer, and my brother Peter is thankfully now completely recovered after suffering from cancer and undergoing treatment for more than a year - thanks to the great progress that has been done in cancer research,” Wixtröm writes in the eBay description for the camera reports Digitalspy.
Bids have reached $11,200 (£6,917) so far, let’s hope even more cash is raised for the two charities who’ll benefit, the Swedish Cancer Society and the Usain Bolt Foundation.
