Model-turned-actress Agyness Deyn has said that she's proud to be a role model, and that she aspires to be much like The Devil Wears Prada actress, the multi-Oscar winning Meryl Streep.
She said that she doesn't lead a celeb-y life, despite being married to actor Giovanni Ribisi and allegedly converting to Scientology - the celebbiest religion ever! She said: "I live in Los Angeles these days and I'm a very private person. That's just the way I roll. My husband is as well."
Although she doesn't hang with other celebrities, she still likes to be recognised by girls on the street, as being recognised as an inspiration: "We don't socialise on that celebrity level, but in terms of recognition, it does feel really nice when a young girl tells me I've inspired her in some way."
She told The Observer that just as younger girls look to her for inspiration - apparently - she looks to older women in the movie industry for inspiration: "It is so inspiring when you come across a woman who is very strong and dedicated and amazing at what they do."
"That's how I feel about Meryl Streep. You watch her, and you can't help but notice all of that about her. She's so infuential."
Very nice, Agyness. Maybe one day you can be just as inspirational as her!? In other news, Agyness has signed up to join the cast of new film, Sunset Song. She'll be playing a poverty-stricken farmer's daughter called Chris Guthie.
