She was the ‘comeback kid’ of last year’s X Factor and has already proved her pop star credentials with her catchy debut single You Bring Me Joy.
Now Amelia Lily is trying to her luck on the stage with a cameo appearance in Shrek The Musical for BBC Children In Need POP Goes The Musical.
heat caught up with the 18-year-old this week and she gave her scathing opinion of X Factor’s ‘fag ash breath’ scandal where Gary Barlow dissed fellow judge Tulisa’s, er, mouth odour.
Amelia said: “I did see that and Gary is normally such a lovely guy so I was shocked.
“It was a bit out of line.
“Tulisa’s so nice, she’s a really cool girl. The only good thing about that was Louis Walsh’ shocked reaction. He’s hilarious.”
She also reckoned some of her fellow X Factor gang could join her on stage.
She said: “Tulisa would be good for something like Chicago cos she’s egdy, Dermot could show off his dance moves in Grease, Frankie Cocozza would be perfect as the Artful Dodger in Oliver! and Louis…I don’t know, Lord Of The Dance?”
