She’s long been the poster girl for single ladies – so it’s no wonder Jennifer Aniston shed a few tears when recounting how Justin Theroux proposed to her.
We’ll admit, we got a bit teary eyed too just watching. Speaking to US chat show host Chelsea Handler last night, Jen revealed how it all got too much for her when Justin got down on one knee.
"I just got verklempt [Yiddish for overcome with emotion],” she said, welling up.
Justin proposed to Jen on August 10th - which was also his 41st birthday – during a romantic dinner at the New York restaurant Blue Hill. Jen admits that she cried tears of happiness. Sniff.
Shortly after, Justin’s rep said: “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
Chelsea, one of Jen’s BFFs was full of praise for Justin, and told her: “He’s the greatest guy ever. You guys make the greatest couple ever.”
Altogether now: ahhh.
