Although there’s been rumours going around that Cheryl Cole is set to become the UK’s answer to Oprah Winfrey, we can assure you they are totally not true.
Unlike Charlotte Church and Lily Cooper (you know, Lily Allen), she won’t be transferring her superstardom and sassy wit (we’re joking) onto any sort of chat show. Well, not for now at least.
The Daily Star had quoted a member of her team as saying: “Sky1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up.
“They’ve been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month.”
The source added: “They think she could be the UK’s Oprah because of her reputation as the nation’s sweetheart and are willing to pay big bucks to get her on board.”
Anyway…it all turns out to be a crock of the smelly stuff, as Sky have confirmed that Cheryl, for all her charms and fantastic hair, will not be presenting a chat show.
A rep for the company told Vogue.com: “Cheryl is a great talent and we are fans of her here at Sky.”
“But we do not have anything planned at the moment.”
Rumours about Cheryl's chat show were as false as her lovely teeth
In other Cheryl-related news, she recently gushed about the birth of her nephew, which she attended way back in the day.
Speaking to Pandora, she said: “When I was 16 years old, my sister announced that she was pregnant and that she would absolutely love for me to be her partner at the birth so as you can imagine, at 16, watching your first nephew and first grandchild of the whole family being born is an insane memory, is the best feeling you could ever have.”
She added: “I experienced emotions I didn't even know I had and I felt incredibly blessed to be there at his birth.''
Awwwww!
