Sad news. Pint-sized actor Danny DeVito has split up from his wife, the equally pint-sized and hilarious Rhea Perlman. A representative for Danny, who most famously played The Penguin in Batman Returns, confirmed the news to The Mirror but refused to make any comment on it.
Rhea first clapped eyes on Danny when he was acting in a Broadway play The Shrinking Bride. According to The Mirror, they moved in together two weeks later. Rhea later played DeVito's girlfriend Zena in Taxi, and later went on to star in legendary sitcom Cheers.
The couple, who have been together for 42 years, were married in 1982 and had three children together. They also founded a production company, Jersey Films, which made classics such as Pulp Fiction and Garden State.
Earlier this year, Danny DeVito, who was performing in London's West End in a production of The Sunshine Boys, came into Heat Towers and was very funny. He might still be funny again despite inevitable heartbreak because he is set to star in a new film.
True Bromance between Danny and Arnold
He recently told The Today Show that him and Twins co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger want to reunite to co-star in a sequel to the 80's box office smash.
He said, in that New Yoiky scratchy voice of his: "We have the desire to do it. What we need is the screenplay… We want to do something really good, so we're waiting."
