POP FEUD ALERT, POP FEUD ALERT: former X Factor star Katie Waissel has slammed former X Factor star and current actual star Cheryl Cole for comments made about the eccentric performer in her autobiography.
Cheryl's autobiography Cheryl: My Story came out less than a week ago, and in that time everyone has been tearing through the pages in search of nuggets of hot, hot molten goss. SPOILER: it totally does not disappoint.
As we reported earlier this week, Cheryl admitted that during her last run on the show, she put Katie through to the live finals on the strength of her TV performance, rather than her singing.

Quirky
"Simon had spent the past two years drumming into me that we needed acts who would be 'good TV'," she wrote.
"When I saw Katie perform [at the judges' houses], I had to admit that she was certainly that. She was quirky, intruiging and busting to success. In short, she had the character and drive it took to withstand the pressure of the show – so I put her through, even though she messed up when she sang in front of Will."
A weaker showbiz writer than us might make a goof about how she messed up when she sang in front of the listening public, too. That's what they might say. In theory.
Hitting back
But today Katie finally got to that page in the book, and promptly took to That Twitter to answer to Cheryl's comments. "@cherylcole thought you were better than this," said the girl who cut her hair, sat down on stage and had a prostitute for a Nan over the course of the show. "Shame I trusted you. You live and you learn."
Look at that face. Unhateable. Like hating a puppy.
ZING, CHERYL. ZAP, ZING, ZAM. Is there a feud a-brewing? A celebrity feud? Probably not, actually. It's pretty difficult to hate on Cheryl. But, still: a timely reminder that Katie Waissel is always listening.
