The X Factor’s latest casualties MK1 have blasted the ITV talent show – in particular judges Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger.

Simeon Dixon and Charlie Rundle were stunned when Gary and Nicole started chatting through their sing-off with Kye Sones.

Charlie said: “They were whispering to each other and I thought, ‘I’m trying to sing for my place and they were chatting.’ That’s just rude.”

The urban act also claim fans weren’t able to vote for them on Sunday afternoon due to a technical fault.

“MK1’s vote line went down. A lot of our fans were tweeting saying they couldn’t vote for us because there was something wrong with our line,” Simeon said.

An X Factor spokesman denied MK1’s claims. She said: “The phone lines have been checked and there were no issues.”

MK1 are surprised to be voted off ahead of wildcard Christopher Maloney, who they claim fakes his extreme nerves and is in fact a bit of a diva.

Simeon admitted: “Chris surviving was a bit of a shocker. He got really lucky. He is the biggest diva.”

Charlie added: “If there’s not a drink around or he doesn’t get his food on time or go home in the right taxi, then it’s a bit of a nightmare. The simple things that shouldn’t matter, matter to him.”

Oh dear - is this just a case of sour grapes, or is MK1's anger justified?

It’s not just MK1 who are feeling a little bitter after getting the boot this weekend – Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton du Beke isn’t happy either.

The professional dancer has said he thinks the Strictly judges – Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood – were too hard on his dance partner Jerry Hall.

The couple were voted off the BBC show at the weekend after their Mrs Robinson quickstep routine failed to win over the judges and they awarded her just 18 points.

“Jerry danced really well on Saturday night but the improvement she made wasn’t reflected in her marks from the judges,” Anton said.

“Their comments were heavily weighted towards her posture — which does need work — and not the way she actually moved on the dance floor.

“The show is called Strictly Come Dancing, so you would have thought that side of things would have been considered — but apparently not.”

Anton added: “I’m not saying Jerry went from beginner to fabulous in a week but there was an improvement and I had hoped the marks would improve.

“There were no gimmicks to our routine, I didn’t swing her in or drag her across the floor. We did a proper dance with depth and Jerry was quite capable.

“She is a super lady and I’m sad we will not get to spend more time together.

“I have no idea why people didn’t pick up the phone and vote for Jerry.

“But I think if the judges had given her another chance the viewers would have got to know her better and loved her. She’s an absolute legend.”

What do you think - did Jerry and Anton deserve to get the boot?

Good news Homeland fans – you’ve got yourselves a third series.

Woo hoo!

The US terror drama, which stars Brit actor Damien Lewis, will get 12 new episodes set to air in 2013.

Damien shared his excitement on Twitter, saying: “So happy for all the Homeland team on the Season 3 pick up.”

But British actor David Harewood, who plays CIA boss David Estes, was a little more cautious when announcing the news.

He tweeted: “Good news on the season 3 pick up. Although I'm keeping my powder dry until I actually see a contract! Things change very quickly on HOMELAND!”
