Robbie Williams was recently left red-faced when he got confused and called Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple by a completely different name. He called her Melon!
In fairness, they’re both one of your five-a-day…
New dad Robbie told German GQ magazine: “Recently the two of them were over at my house for a party. Gwyneth came over to me with her kiddo and I asked, ‘Does little Melon like an apple?’ So embarrassing! I mixed it up!”
How badly do you wish you were at that party? AWKWARD!
Candy star Robbie then went on to blame eight-year-old Apple’s superstar parents for giving her a kooky name.
“But that happens if you have a stupid name like that. You should save your child from that,” he added.
Gwyneth and Chris also have a six-year-old son called Moses.
Celebrities and their kids’ ‘stupid names’
The Take That star and his wife Ayda Field welcomed his first daughter, Theodora – or Teddy for short – last month.
Robbie, 38, hit out at celebrities for giving their children ‘stupid’ names.
We love Teddy’s name, but it’s hardly traditional is it Rob?
“If you don't call your child Michael or Peter or Julia there will only be celebrity names left and they are all stupid.”
We're not sure we agree with Rob - having a crazy name never did Lady Gaga any harm… That’s her real name, right?
