Love was not in air on TOWIE last night - at least not for Mario Falcone and Lucy Mecklenbugh.
We watched as Lucy and Mario had a row that saw Lucy admit that she doesn’t trust her fiancé. Not good news for Mario.
The trouble began when the couple – who got engaged in Marbella in June – sat down for dinner and Mario decided to finally confront Lucy about her feelings on the subject of getting married.
“Every time you talk about the wedding you say you're too young. You're more negative than you are positive and you're not ready to do it,” Mario, 24, started out.
“You know my opinion bub, I loved when you proposed to me. But every time someone asks me, I want to change the subject,” Lucy, 21, replied.
When Mario angrily said he didn’t want to be engaged if that’s how she felt, Lucy tried again to explain her feelings,
“I'm not saying that, I'm just 21 and don't want to plan a wedding yet. The reasons I'm not ready yet, age is one, what people say is two, and three I don't 100 per cent trust you,” she told Mario, before finishing,
“And it just doesn't feel right, it's my gut instinct. They're my reasons.”
It’s not the most encouraging thing for a bride-to-be to be saying is it? Mario then got up out of his chair and walked out of the restaurant, leaving Lucy to mutter to herself,
“So you text loads of girls and then you put it on me, you f***ing idiot.”
